PHS Dieticians Provide New Nutritional Opportunities During National Nutrition Month

Implementing a nutritious diet is a wonderful opportunity to improve your overall health. From colorful fruits and vegetables, to lean meats and filling carbs, getting your diet back on track can be an exciting undertaking.

 

Even with access to healthy foods, many people opt for easier and less nutritional options due to convenience, financial struggles, or just because of habit. With these choices have led to an increase in health related causes due to poor diet, lack of exercise, and rising obesity.

 

This month, Primary Health Solutions is joining hundreds of others in advocating for National Nutrition Month, an excellent pledge to opt for healthier dietary options. At PHS, we advocate for excellent providers and nutritional education to supply each of our patients with the knowledge to lead a healthier lifestyle.

 

One key feature within our centers is the immediate access to our registered dieticians. By appointment, our dieticians can provide advice and counseling about diet, food, and nutrition taking each person’s needs on a case by case basis.

 

In today’s world, it’s important to separate fact from fiction when it comes to dietary choices, as many healthy eating plans don’t provide optimal nourishment.   • The obesity rate in America has tripled over the last 30 years bringing the expected lifespan lower than previous generations.
  • Fruits and vegetables are available in abundance within your local community whether they are found in schools, farmers markets, grocery stores, or even health center related events.

Again, fruits and vegetables are highly important for a variety of reasons including: increased fiber, low in calories, strong in vitamins and minerals, reduced risk of disease, and abundant as a quick and natural snack.
