Resources Available During the Winter Months

As temperatures drop outside, there are many who will struggle through the winter months without adequate resources.  Here are Primary Health Solutions, we understand that in order to be healthy, basic needs must be met   

 

We are proud to partner with other agencies in Butler County that can assist individuals and families with winter resources.  Below we have compiled a list of some resources from partner agencies and other resource agencies in the communities we serves.

 

SELF Supports for Low-Income Families:

SELF can provide a wide range of assistance services such as home weatherization and utility assistance.  Their winter crisis utility program runs from Nov. 2nd – March 31st and they provide year-round weatherization services at no cost to qualifying individuals.  For more information on the services that S.E.L.F. provides visit their website:   http://selfhelps.org/

 

Local Shelters:

There are a handful of local shelters in the area that are able to provide housing assistance to the homeless during the cold winter months. Here is a list in the Butler County area:

ReThreads:

Located in Fairfield Ohio, ReThreads provides clothing assistance, at no cost, to anyone in need. Call 513-549-6394 for more information. 

 

Family Resource Center Oxford:

For those living in the Oxford vicinity, the Family Resource Center provides a variety of resources. One being, assistance with applying for the Ohio Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).  For those facing eviction, the loss of utilities, or just need extra help paying bills, there is an emergency financial assistance program available.  They also provide hygiene products, clothing assistance, and shelter referrals for those facing homelessness.  For more information and to see if you qualify, view their website: http://www.frcoxford.org/
